Head to the farmers market, and buy a few heirloom tomatoes.
Right now, they're
- juicy,
- sweet,
- a little tangy,
- and so, so flavorful -
the best version of what a tomato can be.
My Favorite Way to Use Fresh Tomatoes
When you get the tomatoes home, you won't have to do any fancy cooking.
In fact, when you have produce that's this good on its own, the more simply you prepare it, the better!
My favorite way to use fresh tomatoes is in a classic Caprese salad.
Slice them into rounds, layer them with fresh mozzarella and basil, and top it all off with good olive oil and sea salt.
Serve with crusty bread, and enjoy.
