The following GAIN reports were released on August 4, 2021. _______ Argentina's raisin production is forecast to remain stable in MY 2021/22 at 44,500 metric tons (MT). Exports are forecast at 39,000 MT, though exporters struggle to remain competitive in international markets due to various economic factors, such as high inflation and an unstable exchange rate. The COVID-19 pandemic created a slight increase in domestic consumption, as Argentinians prepared more at-home foods during a strict and lengthy lockdown. Raisin factories remained closed during the first half of 2020, but were able to produce at a faster pace during the second half of the year resulting in close to normal production for the year. France is the third largest industrial hemp producer in the world and the top producer in Europe. The French hemp production and processing industry is heavily regulated with national and European Union laws and regulations. France's hemp industry is experiencing significant growth driven by the development of new products and recent legal decisions regarding CBD. Beef consumption has increased in Thailand over the last few years, and local cattle production will not be able to meet the increase in demand. The majority of imported beef comes from Australia and New Zealand due to lower prices through free trade agreements with the United States being the fourth largest supplier of beef products to Thailand. This report provides trade data on Vietnam's monthly rice exports by grade and destination and weekly export quotes for rice by grade.
