Hi There,
Over the last week, it feels like everyone I know is sick. Yikes. And fall's just around the corner, and as school starts up, I imagine it'll just get worse before it gets better, don't you?
But, there's an immune tonic I make every year - only it seems more important this year. It's a small action among many, many steps you can (and should) take to support your health.
So, here's your annual reminder to make Fire Cider - a tonic filled with nourishing herbs that are traditionally used to support immune system and respiratory health. 💚
Here's why you should give it a try:
- It's easy to make. You simple toss your herbs in a jar, cover them with vinegar and wait. Seriously, it's that easy.
- It's full of immune-supportive herbs. Onions, garlic, chiles and horseradish give the tonic its punch of herbal goodness, while a little star anise adds another level of immune support.
- It's delicious. While you can take it off the spoon as a tonic, I actually love to use it as a marinade or whisked with olive oil for a spicy, garlicky vinaigrette.
- You can find everything you need at the grocery store. Nothing fancy here.
