FDA to Host Virtual Listening Session on the Oversight of Pet Food

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) will host a virtual listening session on the FDA's oversight of pet food, in order to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to share information and insight on this topic.

Pet food includes dog and cat food and treats, as well as food and treats for other companion species such as gerbils, hamsters, snakes, lizards, ornamental fish and birds. When necessary to protect animal or human health, FDA takes appropriate regulatory and enforcement action.
