Early scholarship on the pandemic relief programs created by the CARES Act were limited by a lack of geographic specificity and by a tendency to narrowly define "impact".

Using 13 million address‐level geocoded transactions linked to the LEHD (https://lehd.ces.census.gov/) Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES) data, this presentation illustrates how increased granularity not only provides a more nuanced interpretation of impact, but more actionable information for local decision‐makers.
