Call for applications - $2.5 million available Applications are now open for grants to facilitate transit-oriented development that can increase available housing inventory. Grants must serve areas with light rail or fixed rail systems, bus rapid transit, high-frequency bus service or park and ride lots. Grants up to $250,000 are available, prioritized to meet legislative goals such as leveraging quality transit service, increasing housing capacity and supporting affordability. | Eligible costs include: - Preparation of state environmental policy act (SEPA) environmental impact statements
- Planned action ordinances
- Subarea plans
- Costs associated with the use of other tools under SEPA
- Costs of local code adoption and implementation of the efforts noted above
Applications are due Oct. 7, 2021 at 5 p.m. Applications require a proposed project scope of work and budget, answers to questions, and a letter of authorization and commitment from the city.
