Hello reader
As today is Maundy Thursday, that can only mean one thing. Tomorrow is Good Friday, let the feasting begin. To be honest, I'm never quite sure when it is we're 'allowed' to start eating normally again after Lent. I know we can't tuck into our Easter eggs until Sunday, but it's traditional to eat hot cross buns on Friday. Whatever the ins and outs of it are, one thing's for sure, Easter is a good time to indulge in chocolate. In fact it's essential in my book. How about yours? This week's post showcases a few Easter chocolate bakes from fellow food bloggers. What's your favourite Easter bake? I'm rather fond of a traditional simnel cake, but I don't get around to making one very often. I enjoy a bit of Easter baking, so I have a lot of recipes. If you're stuck for ideas, head over to my category for Easter recipes. There's all sorts there from simnel brownies to Easter nests for kids. In case you missed my recipe for vegan hot cross buns a couple of weeks ago, I'm giving you the link again. If you fancy something more traditional, I have these hot cross buns with a cocoa cross. And if you don't fancy making buns, but like the idea of a hot cross, why not try these hot cross bun pancakes for breakfast? Another alternative Easter breakfast, could see you indulging in a bowl of chocolate granola. It's a lot healthier than it sounds. It's perhaps no surprise that I've been updating chocolate recipes this week. If you're vegan or looking for something a bit healthier, I now have all of my raw chocolate making tips and tricks in one post.
And last, but by no means least, I have to leave you with a recipe for making your own chocolate Easter eggs. It's not a new post, but I thought it deserved the prime spot. Well I think that's just about satisfied my chocolate craving now. I hope it has yours. Keep cooking, stay safe. and Happy Easter.
