Merry Christmas to all those who mark the occasion! It’s Christmas Eve Eve, and I’m thinking about glazing the ham. It’s just two of us eating it this year, so there’s a high chance that ‘leftover ham ideas’ are incoming. Then again, I may pile it all into sandwiches with the whitest, fluffiest bread, wobbly dollops of mayonnaise, pickles on the side. And mustard! Always mustard. A simple ham sandwich is hard to beat, I think. How do you eat yours? I’m also here to tell you that, from January, this newsletter will be evolving. I started Flavour Nuggets a year ago with zero expectations, and it’s been going quite well - yay! - with its own little feature in The Observer and a few subscriber milestones. I’m not taking over the world, but I’m so chuffed that you’re here, reading. I will never take this for granted. So, what’s going to change? WELL. It’s time to re-focus. At the start of each month, I’ll introduce a nugget, and throughout the month, recipes will riff off that theme. It’ll give us time to fully explore each nugg, and I have some *very* exciting things planned, starting 6th Jan. Plus, I’ll be doing more for my paid subscribers, with the usual weekly recipe drops, plus some extra goodies like giveaways, exclusive guest recipes and tips, and some other, tba FUN.
