The following GAIN reports were released on May 19, 2025. _______
This report includes technical requirements and export certificates for the export of food and agricultural products to Argentina. It complements the Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Annual Country 2024 Report. Brazil's total coffee production for marketing year 2025/26 (July-June) is forecast at 65 million bags (60 kilograms per bag), green bean equivalent, a 0.5 percent increase over the previous crop year. Arabica production is forecast at 40.9 million bags a decrease due to adverse weather conditions. Robusta/conilon production is forecast to increase to 24.1 million bags due to favorable weather conditions and effective irrigation techniques. Post forecasts total coffee exports for MY 2025/26 (July-June) at 41.7 million 60-kg bags, green bean equivalent, down 6 percent in relation to the 2024/25 estimate. On May 7, 2025, China announced approvals for 11 new food materials and additives, three of which are products derived from genetically modified microorganisms. This report provides a summary of the newly approved food materials and additives from the announcement. In 2025/26, Indonesia's coffee production is expected to grow by 5 percent, reaching 11.3 million bags on improved yields from favorable weather and increased inputs. Exports are forecast to rise by 7 percent to 6.5 million bags, while domestic consumption is predicted to be 4.8 million bags due to weak consumer spending. The United States remains one of the largest importers of Indonesian coffee green beans. FAS Lima forecasts Peruvian blueberry production in marketing year (MY) 2025/26 (May 2025 to April 2026) to reach a record 355,000 metric tons (MT), with exports expected to reach 335,000 MT. Peruvian blueberry production is on track for a remarkable production recovery in MY 2025/26 compared to the year before. If normal weather conditions prevail, Peruvian blueberry production may likely increase due to the scale benefits of consolidated field expansion, increased foreign direct investment, and resilient genetics that maintain productivity despite potentially disruptive weather conditions. Turkiye offers a wide range of trade shows which may provide good opportunities for U.S. companies to enter the market. Opening stands or visiting the exhibitions mentioned in this report may create opportunities to meet with Turkish importers. Please keep in mind that entering the Turkish market often requires a long-term perspective and persistence. Ukraine's fish and seafood imports from the United States reached a 10-year high in 2024. The United States retained its position as Ukraine's third largest supplier of seafood with exports exceeding $96 million. All market segments grew, with the highest growth in the white fish segment. Ukraine also remained a large and growing market for U.S. premium seafood products, including wild-caught salmon and salmon roe. Marketing year 2025/26 production is forecast to increase to 31 million bags of green bean equivalent. High prices have caused farmers to invest in crop management and more inputs. MY 2025/26 exports are forecast to rise, with strong growth projected for roasted and soluble coffee exports to growing Asian markets.
