Vanderbilt will face Georgia Tech in the Birmingham Bowl today at 2:30 p.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, on ESPN.

Vanderbilt earned bowl eligibility by securing three SEC victories and non-conference wins over Virginia Tech, Ball State, and Alcorn State. This marks Vanderbilt's 10th bowl game appearance and its first since 2018.

Historically, Georgia Tech leads the all-time series 20-15-3, though they have only managed one win against Vanderbilt since 1941.

The matchup revives a rivalry rooted in the teams' shared history as conference rivals for 48 years. It also features a traveling Cowbell trophy, which has been awarded to the winner since 1924.
