Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! On this day in 1858, approximately fifty settlers, including General William Larimer, gathered to celebrate Denver’s first Christmas with songs, speeches, and a feast of wild game.

Santa University Spreads Holiday Magic

Corey "Claus" Christiansen has set a personal record this year, adorning his Aurora home with 110,000 Christmas lights.

His dazzling display, It’s a Wonderful Light, goes beyond spreading holiday cheer—it’s a heartfelt initiative supporting the Autism Society of Colorado, inspired by his two children, both diagnosed with autism.

Since 2018, Corey and his wife, Monica, have used their light display to raise awareness and funds for the Autism Society, collecting $40,000 to date.

The annual tradition culminates in SPREADLIGHT Night, a special evening for families to enjoy hot chocolate, superhero cosplay, and the magical lights.

The display runs daily at 4822 South Picadilly Court in Aurora from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Jan 2.
