Click here Wednesday, 02 October 2024 WEBINAR The crucial role of oxygen in global health Wednesday, 02 October, 13:30 CEST The demand for medical oxygen has surged as the world continues to face respiratory challenges from diseases such as COVID-19 and pneumonia for maternal, child and neonatal health, as well as for surgical and trauma interventions. WHO, alongside its partners, is prioritizing a holistic effort to ensure equitable access to this life-saving resource, especially in low-resource settings. This World Oxygen Day webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of WHO's current oxygen-related activities: WHO's involvement in supporting Member States to fulfill commitments of the WHA 76.3 resolution "increasing access to medical oxygen", oxygen roadmap meeting outcomes, OpenWHO course material related to the oxygen ecosystem, and the launch of a new set of technical specifications.
