I first encountered Mymouné when I was working in the pastry kitchen at Boulette's Larder in San Francisco. There was a strawberry shake on the menu, with rose water in it from a bottle unlike any I had seen before. The beauty, the aroma, the flavor...unforgettable! And my journey of creating inventive recipes that use flower waters in new and exciting ways began.
The story of Mymouné reaches deep into history, from a family farm in Lebanon run by two sisters (like me and mine!). The word itself, "mouneh," means provisions, preserving the bounty to enjoy long after the harvest. A family tradition in Lebanon.

Orange Blossom is so delicious in pecan pie, chocolate cookies and cakes, anything caramel. Try Rose Water in your cranberry sauce...divine. Pomegranate Molasses is like balsamic (but better...), a must-have for fattoush and other vinaigrettes and atop veggies. The Preserves belong as much with the cheese and charcuterie as they do on your morning glory toast.
