The Pan Every Kitchen Should Have |
The first nice piece of cooking equipment I ever bought myself was a stainless steel All-Clad pan. Cooking for the first time on something that wasn't a cheapy (and probably worn out) nonstick, I remember feeling like I had super powers in the kitchen. And that pan is still with me today. We often go on and on here at Epi about the benefits of carbon steel and cast iron and they are great, but they also have entire subreddits dedicated to their care. Stainless steel pans are do-it-all pieces of cookware that are easy to work with and that you can feel fine soaking overnight. In our most recent test we found several great options at several disparate price points (and we also get into that All-Clad class action suit about whether their pans are dishwasher safe. TL;DR: We don't think you should be putting them in the dishwasher anyway). Check out our recommendations below and click on through to read the full review. —Noah Kaufman |
