Taiwan Pineapple Cakes Recipe

Taiwanese pineapple cakes are buttery, light, and melt-in-the-mouth. Made from shortcrust pastry filled with homemade pineapple jam or pineapple paste.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! Happy Chinese Lunar New Year!!!

Wishing all my readers a prosperous year of the Rabbit.

Since its lunar new year, I am sharing my recipe for the buttery and crumbly Taiwanese pineapple cakes.

Pineapple is an auspicious fruit in the Chinese culture and tradition.

Why?
Pineapple in Cantonese and Hokkien, is called Ong Lai, which can be translated to "Good fortune, come"
So eat more pineapple cakes and more fortune will come your way :D

Have a wonderful celebration and stay safe.

Cheers
