Comment Period for 430 NSSH Part 614, "Applying Soil Taxonomy"

NRCS Solicits Comments on Proposed Changes to 430 NSSH Part 614, "Applying Soil Taxonomy"

Action Required By: February 24, 2023 

Revisions to 430 NSSH include:

  • Updating Part 614.6B through 614.6L to clarify the information provided.
  • Updating Part 614.11, "Example of an Official Soil Series Description in HTML," to include examples of semi-tabular and sentence formats for soil series descriptions.
  • Updating Part 614.12, "Explanation and Content of a Soil Series Description," to be 508 compliant, clarify the information provided, include examples of the semi-tabular format, and expand the "type location" format examples.
