NRCS Solicits Comments on Proposed Changes to National Instruction 430-309, "Soils 2026–Mapping Every Acre"

Action Required By:  November 15, 2022

Revisions to NI 430-309 include:

  • Defining the development of long-range plans
  • Updating the implementation timeline dates
  • Clarifying and accounting for database changes to evaluate project areas
  • Adding standardized procedures for re-evaluating and revising project plans (section 309.6)
  • Updating the raster soil survey levels and characteristics
