| | November is Native American Heritage Month. In honor of this observance, we encourage you to take some time to reflect on how Indigenous food, culture, and traditions brighten and contribute to the overall culture of America.  MyPlate Kitchen features over 1,000 "MyPlate-inspired" recipes and resources to support building healthy and budget-friendly meals. This month we are highlighting three recipes in honor of Native American Heritage Month: Looking to learn more? The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) maintains the FDPIR Sharing Gallery, a central hub where you can explore traditional Native American foods and recipes, cooking demonstration videos, nutrition education handouts, and other resources. USDA is committed to working across the Federal government to support Tribal food sovereignty, ensure cultural foodways are respected, and provide communities with accessible and affordable food.
