Hi reader,
I've been making meal plans every Sunday for the past 9 years.
That's 416 Sunday afternoons and over 1,300 hours spent just THINKING about cooking...
… which doesn't actually include the TIME spent cooking (which for 9 years, is hovering around 250,000 hours!!).
I know that the time I've spent meal planning hasn't been for waste - we eat real food, zero processed food (minus the occasional box of crackers) and we've overcome serious health issues.
But there's a small part of me that wonders what else I could have done with that time if I didn't have to spend so much time planning...
- Played more board games with my kids
- Learned how to knit or crochet or hand lettering
- Read more books or took more baths or exercised more often
- Stayed on top of laundry (and dishes)
- Learned more about gardening and self-sustainability in the suburbs
I asked our members what they've benefited most from 30 Minute Dinners, and their responses totally blew me away!
I wasn't expecting this membership to help with reducing the budget:
"Today I went shopping for the turkey themed meal plan.
I made a few substitutions and then spent only $35.52 at the store to pick up the rest of what I needed for the plan - and some of that trip was to restock my pantry, like salt and maple syrup! ๐ I'm feeling very thankful that I signed up for this program.
Thank you for all your work on this!"
- Joy
Or to help reduce food waste:
"I really have become more creative using what I already have, usually just by tweaking a recipe. This is something I never did much before. It is kind of a game now!
I now can stretch out how often I go to the store, which also saves money!"
- Gretchen
Or to help make the food you want to eat work for your budget:
"I have used meal plans for 3 consecutive weeks now and finally feel like this is the first meal plan service that actually works well for our family's taste preferences and budget."
- Erin
Or to teach cooking skills that have been a real struggle:
"I've learned how to properly cut an onion.
I've tried for years to figure out how to chop an onion, but your video clicked with me!"
- Sarah
Or to boost confidence to actually DO the things they've been wanting to do:
"I'm making dinner regularly, and that's new. I don't dread cooking as much anymore, now that I know I can get things done in 30 minutes or less"
- Alicia
Or even to lose weight!
"I have lost 3 lbs in October from eating your delicious food."
- Debra
What about you, reader - how much time have you spent making meal plans over the years?
Or how much time have you spent NOT making meal plans, and then stressed out over wondering what to make for dinner night after night?
Make this year be different, and let us take meal planning off your to-do list.

PS - I created 30 Minute Dinners because I saw other families struggling to get a healthy dinner on the table quickly. I wasn't expecting my meal plans to help them save money, lose weight, and eat more vegetables too!
Fall registration WITH BONUSES for 30 Minute Dinners is open until Tuesday, October 5, 2021. If you need to spend less time cooking dinner - and more time doing more important things - let us take this chore off your plate.
- I will make your meal plans.
- I will make your shopping list.
- I will show you how to get dinner done in 30 minutes or less.
I'll do this every single month, for less than the price of ONE take-out dinner.
