Update on Temporomandibular Disorders and Joint (TMJ) Implants

Today the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) updated its information for patients and health care providers on Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Implants.

These updates include:

  • Recommendations for patients on how to report a problem with TMD devices
  • New information and a video on how the FDA works with people who have TMD and patient organizations
  • Details about how and why the FDA tracks TMD devices
