Hi There,
First, I want to send a BIG thank you to all of you who ordered a copy of my new cookbook. Your support means the world to me, and I hope you're enjoying all the photos and recipes!
But, this morning I wanted to share a new recipe with you - and one I think you'll love. It's a staple on my family's summer table: fermented jalapeños.
They're full of fermented goodness, with a complex sharp-sour-salty flavor that works so well at BBQs and picnics.
Here's why you'll love this recipe:
- It's super easy. If you can drop a pepper in a jar or stir salt into water, you can make this.
- It's rich in beneficial bacteria. Fermented vegetables are a good source of the beneficial bacteria that help support gut health.
- It's flexible. You can swap the jalapeños with other hot peppers (Cherry Bombs are great!), or add different spices to the brine if you like.
- They taste delicious - hot and garlicky with just the right salty-sour punch you find in fermented veggies.

Let me know if you give it a try!
