The best time to cook and eat from the season is upon us, even here in Michigan where spring can be . . . cruel? We're thinking of all things strawberry, rhubarb, and asparagus too. I'm all in on a Strawberry Cream Cake (practice makes perfect for summer gatherings!), My Rhubarb Pistachio Tart with purchased puff pastry is a visual and tastebud showstopper. Then there's the classic, must-make Strawberry Rhubarb pie. Just the right balance of sweet-tart in an oil-based crust.
