| Celebrate MyPlate's 10th Birthday! #MyPlateTurns10 Ten years ago, USDA updated the Federal nutrition symbol to become MyPlate, a simple graphic that serves as a general healthy eating guide on what and how much to eat from each of the five food groups – fruits, vegetables, grains, protein foods, and dairy or fortified soy alternatives. Over the last ten years, MyPlate has grown to provide consumers, health professionals, and nutrition educators with free print materials, digital tools, and other resources that can be personalized to meet an individual's need.
