M5 | Somerset | Lane Restrictions | Severe Delays There are severe delays of 100 minutes above normal journey times and 8 miles of congestion on the M5 in Somerset between J21 and J19. This is due to a large trailer fire resulting in lanes 1 and 2 (of 3) being closed. Avon and Somerset fire crews have attended and extinguished the fire. Work is on-going at the scene so that more lanes can be opened as quickly as possible.
