Celebrating Foster Families Every Day this Month Foster Care Awareness Month is a time to show our appreciation for all that our incredible foster parents do. Join us in celebrating some of the ordinary families that are providing extraordinary care for Michigan children in foster care. A new family's story will be posted to our website and Facebook every day, so check back often to meet local foster families during 31 Days of Foster Care Wishes. Here are just a few of the amazing foster families we are celebrating this month:  "Shantell has a very special heart and is willing and able to take in children with special needs that many homes are not equipped or able to handle. However, she always makes it look easy, with a smile on her face and a positive attitude."
