WHY WE LOVE IT
From the History Books
Monsieur Renault founded his workshop on the grounds of a local castle in the Loire Valley, oh-so-many years ago.
This gem comes from the original kiln that helped produce his famous salt-glazed ceramics. During the process, it's only fired once at 1200°C.
The salt-glazing technique gives each piece its glossy finish (the magic happens when sea salt is tossed into the kiln at high temps).
Sturdy and beautiful, these just-for-us designs are ideal for food prep and storage—they won't absorb flavors or odors.
