🌴 Part 2 of Skip Year: Where to next?

Hey reader,

I announced back in July that we were taking a year "off" from life… basically a skip year, or gap year. My son is too young to start high school, and after much consideration and prayer, decided to spend the year traveling as much as we could as a family.

Part 1 was the Epic Road Trip, where we spent 8 weeks on the road visiting 21 national parks, monuments, and forests throughout 20 different states. We clocked 9500+ miles on the car, 200+ miles on foot, and no less than 437 s'mores. ;)

We're wrapping up our stint at home and are about to embark on Part 2 of the trip. Care to guess where we're going?

Our original plans were to go out of the country… Mexico and Costa Rica were high on the list because you don't have to quarantine upon arrival. We even updated the kids' passports before we left for the road trip!

But while we were on the road, my husband's business (Magnesium Lotion Shop) hit a small snag. Nothing we couldn't overcome, but it did mean needing to be in the country JUST IN CASE he was needed on site.

Our Travel Itinerary Part 2: The Beach

So we took a few days, hashed out what exactly our travel requirements were (warm, surf, beach) and decided to head to Florida!

We've been to Florida quite often since moving to Georgia - Navarre, Melbourne, St. Petersburg, Tampa, New Smyrna Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami - but there are a few more spots we'd like to see.

So for the next 9 ½ weeks, we're going to be beach bums!! My husband and kids all know how to surf, so this is right up their alley. I'll be wearing an SPF shirt under the umbrella with a book, LOL.

We've rented two separate condos in two cities, and we'll spend about one month in each spot. It'll be a little weird not being home for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's, but we're REALLY excited for this next leg of our trip and plan to immerse ourselves in the community as much as we can.

(Personally, I'm also a little excited that while we'll be traveling, I'll still have the conveniences of a nearby grocery store, LOL!)

Do you have any questions about Part 2 of our Skip Year? Wondering how homeschool is going or what I'm going to pack for the condo's? Have suggestions for places to see on East Coast Florida? Hit "reply" and ask/share!!

ALL my best ♥,

PS: Magnesium lotion has been a game changer for me since I started using it a few years ago. My legs are no longer restless at night and I get a deeper more restful sleep! 1. Outsiders can once in a while guarantee a 24-hour circle back for facilitated administrations, however this honor frequently accompanies a strong sticker price of $300 to $400. Organizations like Rush Passport will watch through the interaction, ensuring all your documentation, charges, and photographs are perfect. Some might try and send a delegate to the identification organization to introduce your documentation for you.
