How many times have you wondered what day it is? I’m not going to tell you! Who cares! Luxuriate in it like an expensive moisturiser. This stretch of time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is a unique window for puddling on the sofa, which has gradually become my annual - quite serious - focus. And the food, of course. Whatever you’re doing to welcome 2026, you’re going to need a dip. Crisps and dip. Crackers and dip. Crudités and dip. Dip. You’ll notice that I’ve run with the Bloody Mary theme from last week’s recipe - these cheesy twists - because, well, I knew the idea had legs and when I tested it… YES. It’s just too good not to share. The tomatoes are out of season, sure, but no one cares when you’re roasting them with Worcestershire sauce, vodka, celery salt and olive oil. They emerge wrinkled and jammy, the copious liquor in the roasting dish thickening as it cools into a glossy concoction reminiscent of the dip’s inspiration. Heap it onto soul-stirring swoops of cream cheese + crème fraîche, top with quick-pickled celery, the feathery leaves and a tingly Tabasco crumb. ...
