Boom Supersonic, a Colorado startup that opened America's first supersonic aircraft factory in Greensboro this past June, netted $100 million from some of the country's most prominent technology investors to help pay for development of its bespoke aircraft engine.

In a post on X, CEO Blake Scholl identified Paul Graham, Reid Hoffman, Michael Moritz, and OpenAI founder Sam Altman as "major investors" in the project.

The bespoke engine, optimized for supersonic flight, is designed to deliver 25% more time "on wing" and provide 10% operating cost savings to airline customers.

Boom Supersonic completed its first test flight last March at California's Mojave Air & Space Port and hopes to be certified to transport passengers by 2029.

Nearly 48 still-rooted tree stumps in the Outer Banks have been radiocarbon-dated to be between between 224 and 574 years old.

Scientists believe 28 of the stumps are red cedar or oak, and that all 48 were part of "former forests devoured by the sea.One group of trees appeared to form between 1450 and 1500, and the second group on Hatteras Island likely formed between 1650 and 1800.

National Park Service scientist Michael Flynn noticed the stumps along the water's edge at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in June 2022 while inspecting conditions in Rodanthe.

Is your neck drooping, hair dry and flaky or maybe your nails are getting brittle? These are WARNING signs that you're collagen-deficient, and it's going to get worse if you don't do something about it.

Believe it or not, collagen deficiency strikes nearly everyone over the age of 30. Because after 30, you start losing 1% of collagen per year

And that's no good because… the fact is, collagen is the glue that holds your body together. Without it your body literally starts falling apart (FAST!). So if you have those signs, it's time to act, now, not later.
