Article Icon 1Chemical Leak Claims Two Lives in Deer Park

A hydrogen sulfide leak at Deer Park’s Pemex plant on Thursday killed two plant workers and injured 35.

The leak prompted a shelter-in-place order for Deer Park and Pasadena before officials determined there was no threat to the public in the area, despite the presence of an odor in the air after the leak.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the leak occurred during work on a flange at the Mexican state-owned oil refinery.

The 35 injured people were either transported to the hospital or treated at the scene. Hydrogen sulfide is a toxic, colorless gas with a strong odor similar to rotten eggs.

Real estate investor Brad Simpson has been arrested in connection with his wife’s disappearance. Suzanne Simpson, luxury real estate agent and mother of three, was last seen Sunday night by a neighbor who saw the couple engaged in a physical altercation outside their home near San Antonio.

That neighbor says that Brad Simpson drove away from his home and returned a few hours later. He reported his wife missing the next day.

The couple’s fight at home came after a “disturbance” at a party at The Argyle Country Club earlier in the evening. Brad Simpson has been charged with misdemeanors stemming from the fight at the couple's home.

The Texas Longhorns (5-0) face the Oklahoma Sooners (4-1) today in the Red River Shootout, marking the 120th occurrence of one of college football’s most famed rivalries and the first occurrence with both schools as members of the Southeastern Conference.

It is the first time since 1984 that Texas enters the matchup ranked first in the AP poll.

The Longhorns are 14.5-point favorites and will try to avenge last year’s loss to Oklahoma, currently ranked 18th in the AP poll.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers will start for Texas after missing the previous two games due to injury, spelled by redshirt freshman phenom Arch Manning.

Did your mom ever tell you fruit is healthy? Mine too.

But I guarantee if your mother knew the damage a popular fruit does to your body, joints, and heart... she'd tell you NEVER eat this fruit again. You see, even though this fruit is marketed as being “healthy”... It actually contains a toxic nutrient your body sees as an "enemy."

So, every time you bite into this fruit...

Your immune system flags this “invader”... and unleashes its army of toxin killers. And since this nutrient enters your bloodstream once it’s digested...

Your immune system starts attacking even HEALTHY tissue and organs... causing burning in your joints, muscles, and even your heart.

And even if you HATE fruit and veggies... I can 99.9% guarantee you've eaten this fruit in the past week — probably without even knowing it.

Luckily, Dr. Brian Paris recorded a video revealing the deadly truth about this fruit (and four other common foods).
