While COVID-19 risk is significantly lower for most Mississippians, MSDH will continue to monitor communities for COVID-19 activity. Treating COVID-19 illness promptly can help prevent serious illness and hospitalization, especially in those who are older or in poor health. Treatment information and locator More than 1,517,645 people have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Mississippi, and more than 553,151 have received boosters or third vaccine doses. Vaccination benefits you even if you have already had COVID-19. Fully vaccinated individuals with boosters have the highest protection against severe illness and death from COVID-19. COVID-19 Hospitalizations by Date  | | Cases and Deaths by Date This chart tracks COVID-19 cases and deaths according to the date the person first became ill, or by date of death rather than the event was reported. Since we are still receiving reports of illnesses that began up to two weeks ago, expect the more recent dates on this chart to change.  | | - Be vaccinated, or get a booster.
