RIDDOR puts duties on employers, the self-employed and people in control of work premises to report certain serious workplace accidents, occupational diseases and specified dangerous occurrences. The injured worker was using an unsecured ladder at the school, which slipped, causing the worker to fall and sustain fractures to his face, a fractured femur and other injuries.
