Grabbing junk food every time you stop at the gas station can be tempting.

We get it… And every once in a while is totally understandable!

But too much of it will make you feel bloated and lethargic. 👎

Keep your road trip healthy and energized by choosing homemade snacks instead.

And don't worry, these snacks are so tasty, you won't miss the packaged junk at all!

Potato chips are the ultimate road trip snack but bagged versions are loaded with unhealthy fats, sodium, and more. Try these light and yummy sweet potato chips instead!

Candy is another classic road trip treat, but obviously traditional options are chock-full of sugar and empty calories. Our peanut butter banana cups are sweet, satisfying, and made with 4 simple and healthy ingredients. Keep them in a cooler until that sweet craving strikes!

Light popcorn is an uber-healthy snack option anytime you need to crunch on something salty. This popcorn recipe is made with 3 basic ingredients and contains no mysterious additives!

Slice up some fruit and keep it in the cooler along with this decadent chocolate hummus dip. It's another great option for satisfying your sweet tooth in a lower calorie way.

Deli meat roll-ups are some of my favorite high-protein snacks to keep in the cooler on a road trip! Roll them up before you hit the road, stick them in the cooler, and grab one or two instead of swinging through the drive through!
