Eat Lebanese this week! Cook well, eat well, be well. Fresh and simple ideas for every delicious, healthy day.
These aren't just any burger . . . these are kofta-style burgers. Kofta is highly seasoned ground beef or lamb (or, if you ask my friend Geralyn, ground turkey!). The mix is typically formed on a skewer, then grilled. But kofta also makes fabulous burgers. Serve the burgers on a bun, or a bed of rice. For your sides, grilled corn salad with feta and mint is a hit. Fattoush with pita chips in the mix is a must-have (gluten-free? Just leave out the pita. Still delicious). Dessert, bake a strawberry rhubarb pie with my mom's oil-based, vegan crust. Or get after a big, fruity cobbler with nectarines, apricots, or any stone fruit you love. Father's Day Menu? Done. | |
