Newsletter Our monthly update for everyone interested in health and social care
June's COVID-19 insight report Our COVID-19 Insight reports aim to help everyone involved in health and social care work together and learn from the pandemic. This month's insight report looks ahead to the publication of our provider collaboration review of how services across seven local areas in England have worked together for people with a learning disability during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also update our regular data, including the number of deaths of people in care homes and of people detained under the Mental Health Act.
Give feedback on care During the pandemic, it's more important than ever that we hear your experiences of health and social care services that you've used or worked at. You can use our give feedback on care service to let us know about your experience of care - good or bad. You can also use it to share a concern about a service you work for. | Join us! The protocol provides a process for regulators to share information that may indicate risks to people using services, their carers, families or professionals. This update to the protocol strengthens existing arrangements, providing a clear mechanism for raising concerns and ensuring a collaborative approach to any proposed actions. It was developed under the governance of the Health and Social Care Regulators Forum. | Have your say: Help shape our work Our CitizenLab service helps you shape the work that we do. CitizenLab gives you an easy way to get involved with our work and share your ideas and opinions. We use it to collect your views, conduct surveys and run quick polls. What you tell us helps us understand the things that are important to you. We can use what we learn to make our services and information better for everyone. When you join, you'll be sent an email when new information or projects are added. You can also sign in to see what activities are currently live and ready for you to take part in. | Our offices remain closed – please do not send post All of our offices are closed and our staff are working from home. This means that we are not able to receive post. If you need to contact us, you should do it online or by phone. If you work for a health or social care service, do not send completed notification forms, including notifications of deaths, to us by post. These should be emailed to HSCA_notifications@cqc.org.uk. If we have to issue a formal notice, we will contact the provider by phone to discuss. Providers are also reminded of their duty of care to people using their services. For those detained under the Mental Health Act, this may mean supporting people to access the internet or make phone calls if they ask to contact us. | Do you work in health or social care? Make sure you see the latest information about the changes that we're making to the way that we work due to coronavirus.
