Excessive Heat Warning Extended for Coconino County

National Weather Service has extended an Excessive Heat Warning for:

 Mohave County on 6/2 11 AM to 6/4 9 PM.

*Coconino County on 6/3 10 AM to 6/5 at 8 PM. 

Daytime highs are expected to be up to 111° F. Residents are advised to stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.


*New Area Added 

 Temperatures up to 110 ° F. are expected below 4000 feet elevation in Coconino County.

Precautions to prevent heat exhaustion or heat stroke:

Stay in air-conditioned buildings.

Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day (mid-day).

Check on at-risk friends, family, and neighbors at least twice a day.

Drink water before, during, and after working or exercising outside.
