MSP Airport Community Vaccination Pop-up

Roll up your sleeves, MN

Governor Walz announced the State of Minnesota is partnering with the Metropolitan Airports Commission to launch new temporary pop-up vaccination events at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport.

Travelers 18 years of age and older catching a flight or arriving at MSP Airport are eligible to receive the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Terminal 1. The Terminal 1 site is located in a secure area of the terminal, so a valid boarding pass is required. Vaccinations are administered in Terminal 1 seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All Minnesotans 18 years of age and older are eligible to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Terminal 2. The Terminal 2 site is located outside of the secured area of the terminal, so boarding passes are not required. Vaccinations will be available daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning June 10.

Walk-ins are welcome for these events. Minnesotans can also make an appointment at COVID-19 Community Vaccination Program or by calling 833-431-2053.

The MSP Airport events join Duluth, Rochester, Bloomington (MOA), Saint Paul (Roy Wilkins Auditorium), Saint Paul (State Fairgrounds), St. Cloud, Mankato, Oakdale, and Lino Lakes in the COVID-19 Community Vaccination Program.

What's New

Vaccine Card Reminders

You should receive a card when you get your COVID-19 vaccine that has the vaccine product you got and the date you were vaccinated.

The vaccine card is for your own record. The State of Minnesota will not require proof of vaccination for events such as traveling, concerts, or other activities.

Hold on to your vaccine card between shots (if you got a two-dose vaccine) and after you are fully vaccinated. Bring the card with you to your second appointment so that both doses can be recorded on the same card.

  • Keep your card in a safe place with your other records.
  • Take a picture of your card on your phone.
  • You do not need to laminate your vaccine card, but if you do, wait until you are fully vaccinated.

MDH cannot provide a replacement CDC vaccine card.

It is OK if you lose your card. If you lose it between shots, ask for a new one when you get your second dose and ask them to record the first dose on it.

If you are fully vaccinated, you can request a copy of your vaccination record, which includes the same information as the vaccine card, at Find My Immunization Record.

COVID-19 Stories of Community Outreach and Partnership

COVID-19 Stories of Community Outreach and Partnership highlight the efforts of our staff in collaboration with community partners during the COVID-19 response. Some stories provide insight into how this work is done, others discuss what challenges our teams face, but all of them recognize how COVID-19 has pushed MDH to try new strategies so we can fulfill our mission of protecting, maintaining, and improving the health of all Minnesotans.
