I can’t wait for you to make this recipe! It has become an absolute staple in my kitchen - I’ve been making it nonstop!
Serve it with everything from saucy pasta to simple sheet pan dinners. It’s also crazy good dipped in olive oil and herbs. But the way we enjoy it most is tearing off big hunks and eating it straight out of the pan.
The golden, crackly crust and super fluffy interior is the stuff dreams are made of.
Our weekend was filled with high school tennis districts and so much yard/pasture/garden work, it almost makes me cry thinking about it (and we still have much, much more to tackle). We also have had several cow debacles that have included repairing endless fences - ours and the neighbors - and dealing with sick livestock. ๐ซ
Saturday, we moved nine enormous garden boxes from our front pasture to our back pasture (yes, that included emptying them of the tons of dirt packed therein ๐ฌ my kids were not thrilled) and got them refilled with soil. Most of my garden is now planted! I'm still waiting on some mini cucumber seeds to arrive in the mail, and then I'll plant those plus a few zucchini plants.
My garden isn't super exciting - I mostly plant tomatoes, peppers, and onions (so I can make jars and jars of this salsa). I also have a raised bed with strawberries, one with carrots, and another with beets. And I finally got raspberry starts going in some new long garden beds (since they have not done well planted directly in our clay soil).
Are you gardening this year? Have you planted yet? What do you grow?? I'd love to hear!
If you've been following the cinnamon burst bread excitement (you guys have gone completely crazy for that recipe!), STAY TUNED! Later this week, I'm posting a homemade hack/recipe for making cinnamon bits at home to use in that bread recipe. A perfect (and delicious) solution if you can't get them online or in-stores!
