Smisson-Cartledge Biomedical Recalls ThermaCor 1200 Disposable Sets for Risk of Patient Contact to Aluminum

Smisson-Cartledge Biomedical is recalling the ThermaCor 1200 Rapid Thermal Infusion Disposable Sets because of the risk of aluminum ions draining into warmed fluids. If this happens, this may lead to serious patient adverse events such as weakness, anemia, seizures, or coma.

The FDA has identified this as a Class I recall, the most serious type of recall.
