Seems like a long while ago that I was out there meeting you and talking about Lebanese Baking--the book, the recipes, and especially the meaning behind all of it. There's so much meaning! And I miss you!
I'm excited that I'll be back with you in March and I SO hope you can join me: I'll be in Boston March 12th at the special invitation of the one-and-only Ana Sortun at Sofra Bakery. We'll taste, demonstrate, and Ana and I will have a wonderful conversation to share with you. Sign up! Then, March 30th I'm joining Williams-Sonoma and Bake from Scratch for a ZOOM class to make CAKE! Sign up here for that one.
Miss you, habibi!
On to this week: What comes to mind when you think "comfort food"? It's a long list, no doubt. I take total comfort in a meal that fills the kitchen with a savory aroma, that comes together easily (but still asks me to do something, to create), and no matter how often repeated, is looked forward to. Craved.
Za'atar Chicken, roasted on a sheet pan with hearty root vegetables, fits the bill. Give yourself a couple of hours to let the chicken marinate in a simple combo of garlic, lemon, and za'atar. Get the whole easy menu below!
In the shop, we have exceptional za'atar spice from Lebanon. It's green with dried wild thyme and flavored with sumac and toasted sesame seeds. Get some! Keep it by the stove! You'll use it often, I bet.
And at last: DARMMESS is here!! It's a bestseller that I know many of you have been waiting for since the last harvest in 2023. If you haven't tasted Darmmess, you will love this early harvest extra virgin olive oil from Lebanon.
Bless your hands,
All in one.
The whole dinner could be this and you'll be so satisfied!

Join me in Boston March 12th for this special event! It's a (very generous) tasting, cooking class, and an "in conversation" presentation with Ana and me.
