The Houston plant will be constructed in partnership with iPhone supplier Foxconn, and the Dallas plant is being built with Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron. Together with supplier-owned chip fabrication plants in Arizona, Nvidia will commission "more than a million square feet of manufacturing space" for the initiative. The move will enable Nvidia to avoid tariffs on imported chips and marks the first time the company will build AI supercomputers entirely in the U.S. Mass production at both facilities is expected to begin within the next 12 to 15 months. Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang reportedly struck a deal with President Trump to allow exports of its H2O chips from China in exchange for investing in U.S.-based AI infrastructure. | Home Explodes in Austin A two-story house in a Northwest Austin neighborhood exploded Sunday morning, injuring six people and damaging at least 24 homes, two of which were deemed "uninhabitable." A nearby elementary school was also damaged. Officials performed "advanced extrication efforts" to remove several people from the debris. The cause of the explosion has not been determined, but no criminal charges are expected; the home does not have gas service, but it did have propane tanks. The blast damaged power lines in the area, causing a temporary outage. The Red Cross is providing assistance to those displaced. See videos and photos of the damage here. The explosion was heard up to 20 miles away. "I was just walking around my house, and all of a sudden the house shook and I heard a boom," said a resident whose home was damaged. "It sounded like a tree limb had fallen on our roof." | All-Female Space Flight Launches from Texas A Blue Origin rocket that launched from Van Horn on Monday carried six women to the edge of space and back during an 11-minute autonomous flight—the first since 1963 to boast an all-female crew. The passengers included journalist and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos's fiancée Lauren Sanchez, pop singer Katy Perry, CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and civil rights activist and research scientist Amanda Nguyen. Bezos was joined by celebrities Oprah Winfrey, Kris Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian in the crowd of onlookers. It was the 11th human space flight for Blue Origin's New Shepard program. Perry sang "What a Wonderful World" during the flight, saying she felt "super connected to love" after landing. "It's about a collective energy in there. It's about us," she said. | | Flying together with our sponsor .png) | | | ➤ Corpus Christi: The Murrow Energy gas plant at the Cefe Valenzuela landfill generated $4.6 million in profit during its first year, significantly more than the $1 million projected.
