A man from Golden has been sentenced to five years in federal prison and ordered to repay more than $19 million to over 150,000 victims of a nationwide telemarketing scam.

The $300 million scheme, which operated for over a decade, primarily targeted seniors with fraudulent magazine subscription offers. Victims were falsely led to believe they were reducing their subscription costs but were instead enrolled in expensive new plans.

Henry Aragon, along with his co-defendants, ran the operation through a network of fraudulent companies across the U.S. and Canada. The group used deceptive sales tactics to pressure consumers into making repeated payments.

In addition to his prison sentence, Aragon was sentenced to two years of supervised release. He must also pay more than $19 million in restitution to the victims and nearly $1.5 million to the IRS for unpaid taxes.

Article Icon 1Lights in Sky Linked to SpaceX Starlink

A string of lights was spotted in the sky early Saturday morning, with sightings in Boulder, Elizabeth, and other parts of the Denver metro. Take a look at the photos here.

The lights are part of SpaceX's Starlink satellite system, launched in 2019 to provide global internet service. These satellites are often visible when passing over certain regions.

This isn't the first time the phenomenon has been seen in the Denver area. In Oct. 2023, similar sightings occurred over several days.

The satellites are expected to remain visible during their current launches through at least Nov. 22, though they may not appear as prominently. Take a look at the Starlink tracker here.

You don't need to just alleviate your pain–you need to fight INFLAMMATION. That’s why researchers speculate this one natural food could outperform Ibuprofen.

And it doesn’t have dangerous side effects either!

==> THIS will erase your pain (forget Ibuprofen)
